St. Pierre Giorgio Frassati was a young man of adventure with a deep love for God and people. Firmly planted in God’s love, he took risks climbing high mountains and skiing and enjoyed leading his friends on these adventures. In the adventure of dating and relationships it is you, the man, who has to assume these risks. It is you who has to lead. You must be brave and courageous, solid and stable and most importantly be willing to be rejected repeatedly in order to persevere to the end. St. Pierre Giorgio is also called the Man of the Beatitudes. He served the poor from his own funds giving food and material goods to them as well as his time. When he died, there were thousands of poor people at his funeral which was a great surprise to his entire family.
